Well, kids, it happened. I said, yes, then "I do." It was perfect and wonderful in more ways than I could have ever imagined. I'm so lucky to have so many wonderful people in my life. Everyone came together and made this the best day of my life to this point. I'm so very lucky. I will say that time and time again because truly I am.
Tom and I have surrounded ourselves by some highly qualified friends. He always asks me why I do this or how does this happen and I just tell him it's because I only surround myself with good people. I don't let others bring me down. I don't allow others in my life that might bring me down. It's just better that way.
So now Tom and I are on our honeymoon in wonderful and beautiful Harbour Island...otherwise known as Paradise. It is amazing here. Minus the power cutting out for about an hour at a time here and there other than that it's simply wonderful. We had a delicious meal of lobster and grouper last night for an arm and a leg but it was worth every penny. This island is small. Only about 3.5miles x 1 mile. It's great. Totally relaxing and well worth it.
I do miss my baby boy, who has been such a wonderful child throughout all of this. He has been an angel. I also miss my other kids. They are so deserving of a great life and I intend to help them see all of life's possibilities. Nothing is too big or too small that they might not accomplish it.
p.s. I would have never gotten through all of this without my mom and my aunt Janell. They are amazing ladies and I'm so lucky to have them.
oh and p.p.s. for those wondering what my new name is....that's easy, Leah Janell Guffey Banister.
